UK: "Palestinians suffered hugely at Jewish hands," says BBC journalist

People keep telling me that Israel is not Jews, and that criticizing Israel is not antisemitism.

And then comes Tom Wilcox, and slips up.  Oops.

French Jew: We have not to be afraid to say that the Jews are now the target.
Tom Wilcox: Many critics of Israel's policy will suggest that the Palestinians suffered hugely at Jewish hands as well.

Belgium: Ghent mayor compares complaints about antisemitism to Paris terror attacks

Earlier today I was notified by a local Belgian Jewish activist that the city of Ghent invited an antisemitic journalist to speak at their 'peace and respect' march, following the terror attacks in France.

As everybody knows, the targets in those attacks were journalists (who ridiculed Muhammad) and Jews (who were Jews).

This same activist also turned to the Socialist mayor of Ghent, DaniĆ«l Termont.

His response?

Termont accused the complainer of 'spewing hate'.  Besides, he said, the city is not responsible for who's speaking.  And furthermore: "What you're doing is precisely that the murderers in Paris wanted to do: murdering freedom of speech."

Termont also added that he won't let this argument change his warm feelings towards the Jewish community.

Wow, that's generous of him.

Next time Belgian politicians speak about how they're going to deal with antisemitism?  Remember that it's just talk.  They do not want to make society a safer and more accepting place for Jews.

A few words on Termont's 'warm feelings' for the Jewish community.

The city of Ghent funds various anti-Israel activities.  For example, the "Eye On Palestine" Festival.  "The festival that puts Palestine in the picture."

In recent years, the annual Ghent Festival has also turned into an Israel-bashing extravaganza.  In 2009 the festival held a 'debate' on Israel, which of course included only one-side (Palestinians are good, Israelis are bad).  In 2010, Belgian children were invited to shoot Israeli soldiers.

I guess it gives Jews the warm fuzzies to see Israeli soldiers murdered by little Belgian children.

Belgium: Antisemite to speak at Ghent march following terror attacks

Today the city of Ghent will hold a silent march for "peace and respect", following the terror attacks in France.

One of the people chosen to speak in this march is journalist Saskia Van Nieuwenhove.

Van Nieuwenhove is anti-Zionist and anti-Jewish.  In the past she has posted various conspiracy theories about Israel and  Jews.  She also supports Abou Jahjah and the AEL (Arab European League), who had in the past had targeted Belgian Jewish communities with violence.

As an example, here's a cartoon she shared on her Facebook page this past July, with the comment "Sleep well, Europe".

This is what the City of Ghent calls peace and respect?

'Every Single French Jew I Know’ Leaving France

Stephen Pollard, editor of the British Jewish paper The Jewish Chronicle: “Every single French Jew I know has either left or is actively working out how to leave.

Ira Forman, the Obama administration's special envoy to monitor and combat anti-Semitism: "As one French-Jewish leader said to me, 'I don't have any friend in the Jewish community who has not thought about immigrating."

France: Kosher market terrorist targeted Jews to defend oppressed Palestinians

Amedy Coulibaly, the Islamist gunman who allegedly killed four people and held others hostage before he was killed by French security forces at a kosher store in Paris on Friday, reportedly told a French journalist at the height of the siege that he had deliberately chosen to target Jews.

He explained his target, why this kosher store: because he was targeting Jews,” French BFM-TV journalist Sarah-Lou Cohen said.

She said Coulibaly called the TV station soon after 3p.m. Paris time. “We got a phone call” from Coulibaly, Cohen said. “He called us because in fact he was looking to contact the police.”

“He claimed to be part of the Islamic State very clearly,” Cohen said, according to a report on Vox.com. “He said he had instructions from the caliphate. And then another very important element, evidently, as we were saying in the afternoon, he established a link with the Kouachi brothers” — the gunmen who killed 12 people at the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine on Wednesday.

Coulibaly spoke to BFM journalist Alexis Delahousse, she said, and told him that he and the Kouachi brothers had planned their attacks together.

“He explained also why he did this: to defend oppressed Muslims, he said, notably in Palestine,” Cohen continued. “And finally he explained his target, why this kosher store: because he was targeting Jews.”

France: Four Jews murdered in Kosher market attack

Four Jewish men were killed Friday in a terror attack on a Paris kosher supermarket. They were named on Saturday afternoon. Fifteen hostages were freed when French security forces stormed the market on Friday afternoon and killed the gunman, Amedy Coulibaly, a self-declared Islamic State member. His wife-accomplice escaped amid the chaos

(...)

A muslim employee of the kosher market in Paris, where Amedy Coulibaly killed four people and held others hostage, helped hide several people and baby in a freezer downstairs as the seven-hour siege began.

Lassana Bathily, 24, tells Metronews, that his knowledge of the store and a cool head helped him act quickly to lead a number of people downstairs and conceal them from the gunman.

It is not clear how many people hid in the freezer, with some reports saying six people and other saying over a dozen.

“I opened the door of the freezer and a number of people went inside, I turned off the lights and the freezer,” he tells the newspaper.

Bathily says he told the shoppers to stay calm, closed the door and managed to flee the store using an elevator. He was then able to tell security forces about the people hiding in the freezer.

Giving a terrifying account, Mickael said: ‘I was heading for the check-out with the goods in my hand when I heard a bang – very loud. I thought it was a firecracker at first. But turning I saw a black man armed with two Kalashnikov rifles and I knew what was happening.’

‘I grabbed my son by the collar and fled to the back of the store. There, with other customers, we ran down a spiral staircase into the basement. We all piled into one of two cold rooms – our door wouldn’t close. We were terrified.

‘Five minutes later a store employee was sent down by the killer. She said he said we were to go back up otherwise there’d be carnage. I refused to go up.

‘By now my son, understanding nothing, was panicking. Then minutes later the employee comes back down with the same message. This time I decided to follow her up the spiral staircase.

‘At the top a man was dying in a pool of his own blood. The terrorist introduced himself to us. He was strangely calm. "I am Amedi Coulibaly, Malian and Muslim. I belong to the Islamic State," he told us.'

‘Then he told us to put our phones on the ground. He walked around the store, armed, totally justifying himself, speaking of Palestine, French prisons, his brothers in Syria and many other things.

‘Suddenly one of the customers tried to grab one of his guns which he’d left on the counter. It wasn’t working. The terrorist had put it there because it had blocked after the first shots,' Mickael told Le Point.

‘He turned and shot at the customer who died on the spot.'

Belgium: Teacher uses Charlie Hebdo shooting to hit at Jews

Pierre Piccinin is a Belgian secondary school teacher who believes and lets it be known that the Zionist mafia and the international Jewish lobby pose a lethal danger to Europe and the world.  He complained on Facebook that he was being persecuted by the Jewish mafia and predicted that soon fear will switch sides - meaning that the day of reckoning will come when it will be the Jews (Zionists) who will live in fear and not the rest of the humanity. Piccinin then set up an organisation to protect freedom of speech which he assumes the Jewish mafia is trying to take away from him and other like-minded people.  One should not dismiss Piccinin as being irrelevant.  In some quarters he is taken seriously, for instance at Medea Institute where he was a speaker with another Israel-basher SĆ©bastien Boussois of the Free University of Brussels.

Piccinin has reacted on Facebook to the massacre of policemen, journalists and members of staff at Charlie Hebdo alledgedly perpetrated by Muslim terrorists (7 Jan., 2015):

"France has indeed a short memory ... Politicians, journalists and ordinary fellows are howling in chorus tonight on all television channels and radio stations about an "attack on freedom of expression." A few months back, the very same indivuals, in packs, with their hate-filled mugs, shamelessly and with ferocious arrogance gagged the dissident voice of a humorist from Cameroon [meaning: antisemitic DieudonnƩ]."

"... It's so easy to attack the symbols of Islam.  Whereas, nothing on... Hmmm".  ["..." meaning Judaism].

The case of Piccinin is typical of what goes on in Europe.  He lashes out at Jews, Zionists, naming a few, Israel and then complains that no one can criticise Jews, Zionists and Israel.  People like him spend their lives doing precisely this.  They keep their jobs, they are invited to speak publicly, they publish etc. But they pretend that they do so at great risk.

Of course for many generations the Piccinin family will have seen Jews as despicable human beings.  It is a terrible shock for many Europeans like him that Jews no longer match the vile image Europeans had of them.  Most Jews are proud and no longer prepared to get trampled over, to bend their backs in fear and be bossed around and insulted by the descendents of their former European elite "masters".
