France: Wave of verbal and physical harassment

Israeli news-site News1 spoke with a spokesperson of Jewish self-defense groups, which are particularly active in Paris and Lyon.

The spokesperson said that in recent months Jews in France suffer from a wave of verbal and physical harassment, by antisemitic and extremist Arab elements.

Incidents included: brawl between Arab and Jewish youth, antisemitic graffiti on Jewish homes, cries of "Death to the Jews" and burning of Jewish-owned cars.

The antisemitic incidents are accompanied by anti-Israel propaganda led by local representatives of terrorist groups like Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad.  The spokesperson also said that antisemitic materials from China were being given out in French campuses.
