Norway: Jewish leader says circumcision ban will wipe out Jewish community

The Norwegian Liberal Party's national congress rejected a proposal to support a minimum age of 15 for male circumcision.  A large minority supported the measure.

Prior to the vote, Ervin Kohn, head of Oslo's Jewish community, told the delegates that passing such a measure will wipe out the Jewish community.  That is to say, Jews won't get on the first plane out, but it will be impossible to bring in rabbis, and many young Jewish Norwegians will consider moving.

More: Dagbladet, Aftenposten

Update: A third of the delegates supported the measure.
