Sweden: Textbooks on Jews ignore Holocaust, current antisemitism

A study by Lovisa Sjölund analyzed 6 of the more popular religion-studies textbooks in Sweden, published in the years 1980-2009.

In that time period, the space dedicated to Judaism was reduced. There is no discussion of antisemitism in Sweden. Only one book, published in 1988, mentions there are Nazi-leaning groups in Sweden.

Most books barely mention the Holocaust or the events surrounding the establishment of State of Israel, but cover the Israel-Palestine conflict extensively.
