Israel: Arson, graffiti attacks against synagogues

photo here
Two synagogues were attacked by arson attacks this past Saturday (the Jewish Sabbath).  In a synaoguge in Petah-Tikva (next to Tel Aviv), the ark holding the Torah scrolls was set aflame, but nothing was damaged.

At a rest-stop on Highway 6, not far from the Arab town of Baqa al-Gharbiyye, a small synagogue was completely burnt down, including all the holy books inside (see picture above).

Meanwhile, next to Hebron, an ancient synagogue was desecrated with swastika graffiti.
