Poland: Police say "Death to Jews" on Krakow streets is not antisemitic

Via tvn24:

The Olsza district in Krakow was covered with antisemitic graffiti: crossed out Star of David, "Death to the Jews" and other vulgar anti-semitic inscriptions.

When one of the residents called the police, the agent who answered said that in Bialystok prosecutors ruled that a swastika is a Hindu symbol of good luck.  When the resident answered back that she was Jewish, the agent told her he was Muslim.  In the end, a police car was sent out.

Krakow police explain that the graffiti is not antisemitic, but part of an on-going fight between the local football clubs.  But they do say the agent's behavior was outrageous, and he will probably be reassigned to a different position.
