Approximately 20 graves in the northeastern Hungarian city of Gyongyos were vandalized today (Sunday), in what Jewish community leader Peter Weisz described as being "unprecedented."
The desecration included the spreading of human remains, and elicited the condemnation of Prime Minister Viktor Orban for the "barbaric deed", who then vowed to launch a program this year to renovate neglected cemeteries.
