Greece: Bishop’s new Jew-hating rant

Against Anti-Semitism blog reports:

The Greek Bishop Seraphim of Piraeus published on April the 16^th an article of over 2.200 words, in which he slams the Greek channel Skai for broadcasting “allegedly scientific” documentary films about Easter that are dominated by interviews “with Jews”, aiming at the defamation of Jesus Christ. Seraphim of Piraeus also claimed that the “Zionist Jewish lobby” is hiding behind these documentaries. Seraphim’s text is generally a libel against Judaism, accused to be a false religion that distorts the message of Christianity. “Kabbalah is the way of the unification of the human beings with the demons,” is just one example of the Bishop’s Jew-hating rant.

The text published by the Bishop Seraphim was not condemned – neither by the Greek Orthodox Church nor by the Greek government. [...]

Back in 2010, the Bishop claimed during an interview on Greek television that “Adolf Hitler was an instrument of world Zionism and was financed from the renowned Rothschild family with the sole purpose of convincing the Jews to leave the shores of Europe and go to Israel to establish the new Empire.” He added that Jewish bankers like “Rockefeller, Rothschild and Soros control the international banking system that controls globalization.” (via)
