France: Paris attacker's family says that enjoying an antisemitic show does not make them antisemites

Dieudonne is very popular in France.  A lot of people enjoy watching Holocaust denial in comic form.   But woe to anybody who points out that this makes them antisemites.  Antisemitism is bad.   Laughing at dead Jews is good comedy!

Via Times of Israel:
The mother and brother of Omar Ismaïl Mostefaï, one of the terrorists who shot up the Bataclan theater, called his actions “inexcusable” and “monstrous” through tears on the widely watched French television channel Canal Plus on Wednesday night.

Mostefaï’s brother, whose face and name were not shown for security reasons, also said that on the night of the attacks, he and his wife attended a show by Dieudonne M’bala M’bala, the French comic who has multiple convictions for inciting racial hatred against Jews.

“We were at a Dieudonne show Friday night, but we are not anti-Semites,” Mostefaï’s brother said.

Some background:
Dieudonne’s current show, titled “The Impure Beast,” contains profanities connected to Ilan Halimi, a young Parisian Jewish phone salesman tortured and murdered in 2006 by a gang of kidnappers that targeted him because he was Jewish.  “If I knock down a Jewish journalist, it will be a serious thing,” Dieudonne said on stage. “They will reopen the Nuremberg trials. They will even exhume Ilan Halimi. They’re going to find my DNA in his asshole.”
