Norway: Church of Norway fears Israel will become a 'Jewish state'

Berit Hagen Agøy, Secretary General of the Ecumenical Council of the Church of Norway, recently wrote the following in an op-ed in Vårt Land:


"The Occupation deprives the Palestinans of basic human rights.  We are also concerned about developments in Israel.  If the country become a 'Jewish state', we fear it will increase discrimination and segregation and undermine Israeli democracy".
