Last week I was in chocolate-box Vienna retracing my grandmother’s footsteps as she fled the Nazis. It was a bittersweet voyage. It turns out that in modern-day Austria, traces of my grandmother’s community are still being defaced. In short, Nazism didn’t die with the Nazis.
