France: Communist party praises terrorist Marwan Barghouti and BDS

The CRIF (Representative Council of Jewish Institutions) reported that at the annual rally of the French Communist Party newspaper (Fête de l'Humanité), Marwan Barghouti was honoured and the BDS movement represented.

For the CRIF, by honouring the terrorist Marwan Barghouti and supporting the BDS movement, the French Communist Party is implementing a strategy that promotes the delegitimization of Israel with a view to obtaining political gains.

At a time when France is committed to fight terrorism, honouring Barghouti is tantamount to incitement to hatred and is particularly shocking and dangerous.

By providing active support to the BDS movement, the French Communist Party encourges obsessive anti-Zionism that is the face of the new antisemitism.

Kalifat Francis, President of CRIF, condemned the irresponsible strategy of the organizers and the instrumentalization of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by the French Communist Party.

Many people go to the three-day festival for the concerts and the partying and nor the for political message.  The French communist party is a spent force and on the decline.
