European Parliament hosts families of convicted Palestinian terrorists

While Europe is facing terrorist attacks, the European Parliament, which describes itself as the house of democracy, shamefully hosts families of convicted Palestinian terrorists Ahmad Sa’adat and Marwan Barghouti.  (Chaired by former Cypriot Minister of Interior Neoklis Sylikiotis)

Sa’adat is currently Secretary General of the terrorist group Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (FPLP), responsible for hijacking aircrafts from Brussels, Frankfurt, Zurich, conducting several attacks on Israeli embassies in Europe and other terrorist acts resulting in many casualties. The FPLP is listed by the European Union as a terrorist organisation. 

Marwan Barghouti, founder of Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade during the Second Intifada, responsible of carrying out attacks on civilians, has been convicted in 2004 by the Israeli government for 5 counts of murder. The Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade is also on the EU list of terror groups since 2013. 

Why does the European Parliament Delegation for relations with Palestine hosts in Strasbourg relatives of the two terrorists to speak in Strasbourg during the current pleanary session under the pretext of discussing "the situation of Palestinian prisoners in Israel"?   

There is no justification and no context for such a shameful initiative from a band of MEPs who, instead of trying to create an atmosphere to restart peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians, are inciting violence and hate… 

Mister President of the European Pariament Antonio Tajani, listen to the 17 MEPs from various political groups who denounce this initiative in a letter they sent you. What would be the reaction of the European Parliament if the Delegation for relations with Israel would invite relatives of Jewish extremists responsible for the murder of a Palestinian boy in the West Bank in 2015? ''They represent no one but themselves. They are terrorists. And just as Israel has done in our previous wars on terror, we will defeat them with all the means at our disposal,'' said at the time Naftali Bennett, the minister and leader of Israel's right-wing camp who believes in the legitimacy of the settlements in the West Bank... 

The big difference between the two is that Israel took effective action to eradicate such a fringe group of Jewish extremists while on the other side terrorists are becoming heroes and their relatives are invited to the European Parliament. The big difference is that the Delegation for Relations with Israel is trying to help Israelis and Palestinians find the way to a peaceuful and secure coexistence....
