France: Politician alleges that if Education Minister had "said no kippah on school trips, he would no longer be a Minister"
During the TV show" Balance ton poste" hosted by Cyril Hanouna, the ex-spokesperson for the far-left party France Unbowed (France Insoumise), Raquel Garrido, alleged that if the Minister of Education, Jean-Michel Blanquer, had "said no kippah on school trips, he would no longer be a minister".
Her remark is understood to be a clear reference to a "powerful Jewish lobby", a popular conspiracy theory.
The show was about the Charlie Hebdo attacks five years ago. The guests were asked about wearing the Muslim headscarf in France.
