Spain: Muslims threaten to 'put fear into' Jews

The latest video is from an Islamist rally in the Spanish city of Cueta, and shows what looks to be hundreds of Muslims cheering and chanting during an anti-Semitic diatribe by one of the rally's leaders.
Branding Israel "the arm of the United States", the speaker continues: "The Jews, for decades, for thousands of years, have wanted to exterminate the prophets and everyone on the face of the Earth who is not a Hebrew.
"In the Torah of the Jews it says that they are the chosen people... I swear to God that we will put fear into you until judgement day!"

Hungary: Jobbik mayor holds mock public executions of Israeli leaders

A mayor of a rural town in eastern Hungary held a mock medieval-style public execution of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former president Shimon Peres in order to protest Israel’s military operation against Hamas in Gaza.
According to a video posted online, Erpatak Mayor Mihaly Zoltan Orosz, who hails from the neo-Nazi Hungarian Jobbik Party, is seen standing in a traditional Hungarian costume with effigies of Netanyahu and Peres hanging behind him. After reading an anti-Israel speech, a man wearing the black hood of an executioner kicks out chairs holding the effigies, marking the Israeli leaders’ executions.

Italy: Italian philosopher says he'd like to see more Israelis killed

Via Breitbart:

Gianni Vattimo, an Italian Marxist philosopher and former member of the European Parliament, has told national Italian radio that Israel is "a bit worse than the Nazis," and he'd like to "shoot those bastard Zionists."
He said Europeans should raise money "to buy Hamas some more rockets." He insisted that Hamas is "fighting with toy rockets that don't really kill anyone."
Asked if he would like to see more Israelis killed, he replied: "Of course, but unfortunately I can't really shoot."
He also said Europeans should get together to fight along with Hamas, the way foreign volunteers fought against dictator Francisco Franco during the Spanish Civil War.

Haaretz reports that Vattimo apologized, at least for saying that he'd like to see more Israelis killed.  Haaretz, being what it is, actually tries to explain why it's also the radio hosts' fault.
However, when Haaretz played back the complete recording for Vattimo, he acknowledged that he had said he would have liked to see more Israelis killed – but explained that such an unfortunate statement was made in an outburst of anger.
“Of all the things I have said, this is the only one I regret and feel ashamed about,” he said. “The only thing I can say in my defense is that I was severely provoked by these two morons,” referring to the show’s hosts.
The radio interview was indeed quite tense, with Vattimo defending Hamas while the two interviewers expressed apparent unconditional support for Israel and mocked him on air. “La Zanzara” (the name means “the mosquito”) is known for the heated tone of its debates, and its two hosts – Giuseppe Cruciani and David Parenzo – are famous for their ability to make guests utter regrettable comments. Media analyst Francesco Caldarola once described it as “the show in which interviewees commit suicide, or are led to suicide, with aberrant statements.”
Aren't you glad you now understand the context in which this Italian politician and so-called 'philosopher' would like to kill every Israeli, including those who work for Haaretz?

h/t CFCA. For some reason, both online sites reporting on this story decided to add an Israeli flag graphic.  Are they trying to prove that anti-Zionism is antisemitism or trying to show that Israel is the reason Dublin Jews have to suffer?

Sweden: Rabbi attacked

The rabbi of Malmo, Shneur Kesselman, was attacked Saturday night as he was coming back from the synagogue.  Several men in a passing car shouted "f**king Jews!" and threw a glass bottle at him.

Kesselman was accompanied by a member of his congregation, Hugo Klein.  Klein explained he'd been accompanying the Rabbi, despite the fact it was out of his way, since this wasn't the first such incident.  Both men were also attacked on their way to the synagogue, when a passing driver threw a cigarette lighter at them.

France: "We endure daily insults and get spat on"

Police in Toulouse arrested a man who hurled three firebombs at a Jewish community center and the officers guarding it.

The incident happened Saturday, one hour after the conclusion of a demonstration against Israel’s actions against Hamas in Gaza, the AFP news agency reported.

The man, who was not named, threw two firebombs over the center’s fence and a third at the officers, but none of the bombs successfully ignited. He also hurled stones at the Espace du Judaisme center, which contains a synagogue, a library and a lecture room, among other facilities.

“Our lives have become absurd,” Nicole Yardeni, the head of the local branch of the CRIF umbrella group of French Jewish communities. “We endure daily insults and get spat on, a general feeling of anxiety because a part of the population has a poisoned mind that makes it their mission to hurt Jews, regardless of Gaza.”

Norway: Journalists tweets Israel is "father and mother of state terrorism"

Kadafi Zaman, a Norwegian-Pakistani journalist for TV2, tweeted the following: "Israel is the father and mother of all state terrorism.  To kill defenseless women and children is inhuman.  To call injustice when you see it is a human right."

I suppose that last sentence is his way of saying "don't call me an antisemite, I'm just criticizing Israel"

Greece: Greeks with soft spot for conspiracy theories are more likely to hold anti-Semitic views

Anti-Semitism in Greece is more common among people who are susceptible to the lure of conspiracy theories, a new survey has shown.
The study, which was carried out by a group of Greek experts from local as well as international institutions and unveiled during a recent seminar in Berlin, was conducted before Israel's latest Gaza offensive.
“The more a person feels weak and victimized, the more they participate in the political culture of the underdog, the more they are to believe in conspiracy theories and hold anti-Semitic views,” Giorgos Antoniou, a professor of European history at the International Hellenic University (IHU) in Thessaloniki, told Kathimerini English Edition.

Norway: NRK reports that "US media is controlled by Israel lobby"

Via Norway, Israel and the Jews:

Gro Holm is a senior news anchor for NRK, Norway's public broadcaster and is currently their correspondent in Washington.  She is married to Kai Eide, a former UN special envoy to Afghanistan and Kosovo.

In a recent article, Holm explained to the Norwegian public why the US supports Israel: the media is controlled by the Israeli lobby.  Despite that, some of them tried to show the Palestinian side.

Pay attention closely: the article claims the "Israeli lobby" controls the media, but then smoothly explains that Jews are over-represented in the US media market.  Holm does highlight the few who don't 'fall in line' with Israeli propaganda.

Because, obviously, there can be no other reason.  It must be Jewish mind-control.

That's right. Norwegian media resorts to antisemitic conspiracy theories to explain why Israel's ally supports Israel.

Holm is not an anti-Zionist, she is an antisemite.

Belgium: Doctor refuses to treat 90 year old Jewish woman, "send her to Gaza for a few hours"

A Flemish doctor refused to treat a 90 year old Jewish woman.  The doctor was on call when the woman's son called a medical hotline, as his mother suffered pain from a rib fracture.  The doctor quickly figured out the woman was Jewish, based on her name and address in Antwerp, as well as her son's American accent, said he won't come and hung up.  When the family called again, he said:  "Send her to Gaza for a few hours and than she won't feel any more pain".

The doctor confirmed the story, but said he was emotionally distraught at the time.
