UK: Cambridge students brand Israel a rogue state

The European obsession with Jews and Israel is growing and growing.

The Jewish Chronicle:

Scared away as hate grows at SOAS
Students at Cambridge University have voted overwhelmingly that Israel is rogue state.

A debate at the Cambridge Student Union which put forward the motion “This house believes that Israel is a rogue state” was passed last night by 51 per cent to 19 per cent against and 30 per cent abstaining.

President of the Board of Deputies Vivian Wineman was on the panel at the packed debate with Yachad director Hannah Weisfeld and anti-Israel activist Ben White.  Mr Wineman said: “Although barely half the participants supported it, I’m disappointed that this motion was passed. Israel is an outstanding success story considering the difficult circumstances in which it finds itself, and we have to continue to get that message across.”

The Jewish Chronicle also reports the same obsession at Oxford: Oxford students reject anti-boycott measure and that at the SOAS (University of London, the School of Oriental and African Studies) where student union vote backs full Israel boycott Jewish students are scared away as hate grows at SOAS and that students meet SOAS head over campus intimidation.

The response is always the same, espectially from other students: indifference.
