France: Anti-Semitic graffiti found at home of Muslim victim of Toulouse Jewish school killer

The home of the Muslim mother of a victim of the jihadist killer Mohammed Merah from Toulouse was sprayed with anti-Semitic threats.

Latifa Ibn Ziaten, whose son, Imad, was murdered in 2012, discovered the graffiti Monday, she wrote on Twitter. One graffiti, written in misspelled French, read: “Jew, soon dead.” Another said: “Your time is coming soon, dirty Jew.” Ibn Ziaten, who has traveled to Israel in the framework of her activism against anti-Semitism and hatred, spoke at a convention of the CRIF umbrella group of French Jews of her indignation when she hears young Muslims speak of Merah as a martyr.A third read: “Long live Merah.”

UK: Labour deputy flags tweets by party members accusing Jews of murdering kids

Lawmakers in Britain’s Labour opposition party have reportedly flagged social media posts from members accusing Jews of murdering children and questioning whether Jewish parliamentarians have “human blood.”

MP Tom Watson, the deputy chief of Labour, said he received 50 complaints of anti-Semitism last week from Labour colleagues, and called on leader Jeremy Corbyn to personally take them before the party’s top governing body.

According to a Sunday report in the Guardian, the complaints received by Watson included a number of anti-Semitic posts on Twitter by Labour members, such as one alleging “Jews murder people and children.”

“Wonder why Jewish people are hated wherever they’ve settled over last 2000 years. Their double dealing, back stabbing, cheating chilling coldness has always only one outcome. I wonder what the average period of time is before people fed up with the anti-social Jews kick em out,” read one of the tweets, according to the report.

Another tweet said Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler was an “illegitimate Rothschild,” the Jewish banking family at the center of numerous anti-Semitic conspiracy theories, while another questioned whether Jewish officials in Labour have “human blood.”

“Their hearts and brains totally devoid of humanity,” the Twitter post reportedly said.

Sweden: Members of far-right party caught making anti-Semitic statements online

Regional politicians from the far-right Sweden Democrats party were caught making anti-Semitic statements online, including using a picture of Anne Frank to mock Holocaust victims.

Per Olsson, who represents the party on the city council of Oskarshamn, a coastal Swedish city, posted earlier this year a picture of Frank captioned “coolest Jew in the shower room” on the Russian social network VKontakt, the Expressen daily reported Friday.

The Expressen report was part of a project in which journalists for that daily and the Expo magazine looked into the digital footprint of many politicians from various parties ahead of the country’s September 9 general and local elections.

Sweden Democrats is currently in third place according to various polls, with 18.7 percent of the vote. Its share was just under 13 percent in the 2014 elections.

The journalists also found anti-Semitic material on the social media accounts of Raghu Jacobsen, who represents the party on the city council of Stenungsund, located in western Sweden.

“As long as Rothschild controls the economy and with the modern slavery on this planet, there will be anti-Semitism. #Jews #israel,” he wrote in English in February on Twitter.

Belgian funded PA school still named after terrorist mass murderer

On Sept. 27, 2017, Palestinian Media Watch released a report documenting 31 Palestinian Authority schools named after terrorists, one of which PMW is certain was built by the Belgium government.

Shortly after PMW's original report was published, Belgian authorities condemned the naming of the school built with its funding after the terrorist and announced it "will not allow itself to be associated with the names of terrorists in any way." [The Algemeiner, Oct. 7, 2017]  

PMW has now discovered that the PA has defied Belgium, and the school continues to be named Martyr Dalal Mughrabi Elementary School. PMW has confirmed this after the official PA daily published a story announcing the "launch of activities of the outstanding athletic clubs," hosted by none other than the Dalal Mughrabi School in Southern Hebron.  

PMW examined the pictures from the event and noted that the same plaque thanking Belgium for funding the school named after the terrorist mass murderer can be seen in the pictures from the recent event.

Holland: Jewish students complain about anti-Semitism at Amsterdam Free University

Tens of Jewish students and former students react to a Palestinian terrorist speaking at Amsterdam Free University. They have written a letter to the Board of the Amsterdam Free University.

In it they say that the university has tolerated radical organizations with racist antisemitic tendencies. The most recent case concerned a lecture by the Palestinian Rasmea Odeh who was involved in the murder of two Israeli civilians. She was presented by the organizers in a location at the university as a hero and resistance fighter.

The Jewish students want to meet with the Board to discuss this issue.

Germany: 'Hitler Was Good!' Jewish Student Attacked by Classmates

The anti-Semitic incident occurred in a Berlin school in mid-December and has made headlines in media over the last few days.

A Jewish German student has become a victim to anti-Semitic abuse by his Arab classmates in the Ernst Reuter School in Berlin, according to reports.

The incident took place during a discussion of the Middle Eastern conflict when the 18-year-old Jewish student spoke against the creation of a Palestinian state and received a tough response from his fellow students.

As reported by the Berliner Zeitung, several young people who originally come from Arab countries surrounded their Jewish fellow student and verbally abused him. For example, one girl allegedly said: "Wallah, Hitler was good, because he killed the Jews, he was a good man!"

Talking to a local Jewish newspaper, the student said that he faced insults before and that anti-Semitic abuse had been a common practice in his school life.

"I tried to stay calm, to smile and to present facts, but I decided to break my silence on the comment about Hitler," he said.

According to the Berliner Zeitung, the girl who made the abusive statement immediately noticed that her words were discriminatory and apologized to the student.

UK: 'Hitler had best ovens' Jewish book store told

Staff at a Judaica store have been left “shocked” after an anonymous caller rang the shop and said “Hitler had the best ovens”. 

Brauns Judaica, in Stamford Hill, north London received the call at around 6pm yesterday. 

The antisemitic comment was all that was said before the phone was put down. A member of staff at the shop told the JC: “It was very, very bad – it was very scary. If they start calling you, what’s going to be next? It’s really shocking.” 

The telephone call is the latest in a number of antisemitic incidents which have taken place in Stamford Hill, including swastikas being daubed on walls and roads and members of the area’s Jewish community being subjected to verbal and physical abuse.

Belgium participates in the inauguration of a new Palestinian school despite announcement it was freezing all projects

The Belgian government recently announced that it would put on hold any projects related to the construction or equipment of Palestinian schools following after learning that financial aid it gave for the construction of a school after was renamed after a notorious Palestinian terrorist. 

The Beit Awaa Elementary Girls School, located in southern West Bank’s Hebron region, was built with Belgian government funds and through the Belgian Development Agency in 2012-2013. The plaque mentioning Belgium's funding on the wall of the Dalal Mughrabi School reads in English and Arabic: "Through a fund from the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium and through the Belgian Development Agency BTC constructed and furnished, Beit Awaa Basic Girls School." 

The school was later renamed the Dalal Mughrabi Elementary School by the Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Education. Dalal Mughrabi took part in the 1978 Coastal Road Massacre, in which she and several other Palestinian terrorists landed on a beach near Tel Aviv, hijacked a bus on Israel’s coastal road and killed 38 civilians, 13 of them children, and wounded over 70. 

However, according to Donia Al-Watan, an independent Palestinian news agency, one week after the announcement by Belgium, Eric De Muynck, a representative of the Belgian Development Cooperation Institution participated in the inauguration of a new PA school. 

PMW said the Belgian Embassy in Israel didn’t respond to repeated requests for clarification of the issue. 

In September, PMW was the first to expose that a PA school built using money from the Belgium government was named after Dalal Mughrabi. 

Shortly after,  Didier Vanderhasselt, a spokesperson for the Belgian foreign ministry, responded that Belgium "unequivocally condemns the glorification of terrorist attacks," and "will not allow itself to be associated with the names of terrorists in any way." 

He added that "in the meantime Belgium will put on hold any projects related to the construction or equipment of Palestinian schools."

France: Flyers handed out calling for the killing of Jews at Paris suburb of Clichy

Rémi Muzeau, the mayor (Les Républicains) of the Paris suburb of Clichy, revealed that he has in his possession leaflets calling for the killing of Jews.  

They were found on the streets and state: "If you meet a Jew, kill him". 

Rémi Muzeau organised a protest against the illegal muslim 'prayers' in the street attended by about 100 mayors was interviewed by LCI.

Labour has shortlisted as a potential candidate a woman who posted online: “what have the Jews done good in this world?”. Nasreen Khan, a former RESPECT activist now a Labour member, is on a two person shortlist to fight a council seat in Bradford next year. Khan has previously posted:

“It’s such a shame that the history teachers in our school never taught us this but they are the first to start brainwashing us and our children into thinking the bad guy was Hitler. What have the Jews done good in this world?”

Khan also said:

“The Jews have reaped the rewards of playing victims. Enough is enough!”

Last night Khan said her comments were “inappropriate and unacceptable”. A Labour spokesman said the party does not comment on selections. Unbelievable that Labour won’t comment on this…

Ukraine: Disgraceful celebration of anti-Semitic nationalist leader

The city of  Vinnitsa, in west central Ukraine, once a historic center of Jewish life in the country, has decided to celebrate an anti-Semitic nationalist leader and to unveil a monument in his honor this weekend.

Symon Petliura and his Ukrainian People’s Republic are blamed for the murder of tens of thousands of Jews in programs under his watch in 1918-1921.

The memorial for Symon Petliura was unveiled Saturday in Vinnitsa, on Defender of Ukraine Day, a national holiday. It is located in an area once known as Yerusalimka, or Jerusalem, and located next to a small synagogue that is still in operation.

In a statement, the World Jewish Congress denounced the move to celebrate Petliura.

WJC CEO and Executive Vice President Robert Singer said in a statement: "The World Jewish Congress is distressed by the Vinnitsa municipality’s disgraceful and regrettable decision to celebrate the anti-Semitic nationalist leader Symon Petliura as a 'Defender of Ukraine' and by Vinnitsa Regional Chairman Valery Korovy’s description of him as an 'honest man'."

"Petilura was anything but an honest man. He was a cruel barbarian, indisputably responsible for pogroms in which 35,000-40,000 Jews were murdered."

"He and his Ukrainian People’s Republic were more than just Ukrainian nationalists - they were also avowed and brutal anti-Semites, intoxicated by the thrill of carrying out unimaginably vicious and inhumane crimes against innocent people."

"It is inconceivable that a man, who today we would not hesitate to call a terrorist, should be honored in the very same city in which he and his regime tried to wipe out a rooted and strong Jewish population."

Belgium suspends PA construction projects after Palestinian school renamed for notorious terrorist

After complaints from Jewish groups, the Belgian government is now dealing with the problem, but will no doubt keep channelling aid to the Palestinians regardeless of the fact that they glorify terrorism.  The Belgian government claims it clueless about the name change.

The Belgian government is suspending any efforts to construct or furnish Palestinian schools, after one built with Brussels’ aid was renamed in honor of a mass-murdering terrorist, The Algemeiner has learned. 

Located in the southern West Bank, the school’s controversial name pays homage to Dalal Mughrabi, who led a massacre of 38 people — including 13 children — near Tel Aviv in 1978. Its logo also includes a map erasing Israel, while its Facebook page has posted pictures glorifying Palestinian attackers. 

A plaque at the school, which was first identified by the monitoring group Palestinian Media Watch, notes that it was established with Belgian support. 

Didier Vanderhasselt, a spokesperson for the Belgian foreign ministry, confirmed to The Algemeiner that the school’s construction was supported by the Belgian government between 2012 and 2013.

“When the school building was handed over to the local community in 2013 it was called ‘Beit Awwa Basic Girls School,’ subsequently the name was changed to ‘Dalal Mughrabi Elementary School,’” Vanderhasselt explained. “The Belgian government was unaware of this name change.” 

He added that Belgium “unequivocally condemns the glorification of terrorist attacks,” and “will not allow itself to be associated with the names of terrorists in any way.” 

“Belgium has immediately raised this issue with the Palestinian Authority and is awaiting a formal response,” Vanderhasselt said. “In the meantime Belgium will put on hold any projects related to the construction or equipment of Palestinian schools.”

The Belgian government is being urged to take action after a Palestinian school that was built with its funding was renamed in honor of a mass-murdering terrorist. 

The Beit Awwa Basic Girls School was established in the southern West Bank “through a fund from the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium and through the Belgian Development Agency BTC,” according to a plaque at the school, which was first identified by the monitoring group Palestinian Media Watch (PMW). 

Now known as the Dalal Mughrabi Elementary Mixed School, it was renamed by the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) Ministry of Education in honor of the Palestinian terrorist who took part in the 1978 Coastal Road massacre. Thirty-eight people — including 13 children — were killed and over 70 were wounded in the attack, which turned Mughrabi into a venerated hero among Palestinians. 

The school’s logo also features a map of Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip, all depicted as a single territory. Its Facebook page has posted pictures glorifying Palestinian attackers, including Adi Hashem al Masalmeh, who was fatally shot after stabbing an Israeli soldier in October 2015. 

Daniel Schwammenthal, director of the AJC Transatlantic Institute, told The Algemeiner that “the Palestinian Authority under President Abbas has established a culture of incitement that fuels terror and hatred, making it impossible to see how he can ever lead any serious peace negotiations.” 

“By naming schools after terrorists, the PA is indoctrinating even little children, apparently determined to ensure this conflict will last well into the next generation,” he continued. 

Schwammenthal called on the Belgian government to “investigate this issue and insist that the PA rename the school immediately.”

Germany to permit Palestinian terror group to run for Government

The German Interior Ministry declined on Tuesday to bar the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine from campaigning as a political party in the September general election to the Bundestag. 

The PFLP has been designated by the EU and US as a terrorist organization. 

A spokeswoman for the Interior Ministry told The Jerusalem Post a party’s entitlement to run is “not dependent on the assessment of politics or candidates.” 

When asked by the Post if the Interior Ministry plans to outlaw the PFLP, the spokeswoman said it “does not, in general, comment on bans.” The spokeswoman said, “candidates from parties and candidates in Germany cannot be banned or allowed by the Interior Ministry in Germany,” adding that the federal election committee determines the registration of candidate lists. 

The PFLP is running on a joint list with the Marxist-Leninist Party of Germany. 

The PFLP has murdered scores of Israelis in terrorist attacks and hijacked airplanes.  According to a Post investigation of the PFLP in Germany, it has conducted multiple celebratory events over the years in Berlin. 

The ministry said, “The organization PFLP is not a party in the meaning of Article 21 of the Basic Law [Germany’s constitutional law] party laws and cannot campaign [independently] in the election.” 

Asked about a letter from MKs from Yesh Atid and German lawmakers urging Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière to ban Hezbollah and the PFLP in Germany, the spokeswoman said she will not comment on the facts of the case. 

According to Germany’s most recent intelligence report from 2016, there are 950 active Hezbollah operatives in the country. (...)

For observers of terrorism in Germany, it is unclear why the ministry is reluctant to outlaw the Palestinian organization, which is widely recognized as a terrorist group. 

The ministry did shut down the radical left-wing website linksunten.indymedia.org last Friday. 

 De Maizière said the portal was closed because it was “showing hate and legitimizing violence against police officers.”

France: Jews protest play on Mohammed Merah, responsible for the Toulouse massacre, at the prestigious Avignon theater festival

Jewish leaders in France and relatives of the gunman who murdered four at a Jewish school in Toulouse protested the staging of a play on the killer’s life at the prestigious Avignon theater festival. 

“I Love Death as You Love Life,” which premiered last week at the Festival of Avignon in southern France, details the last three hours in the life of Mohammed Merah, the Islamist who in 2012 murdered a rabbi and two of his sons along with a girl at the school. He also shot dead three French soldiers. 

Ariel Goldmann, a vice president of the CRIF umbrella group of French Jewish communities and spokesman for the SPCJ communal security unit, called the play “a disgrace and an ignominy” in a statement Wednesday that he co-authored with three other prominent community members. 

The play is an “enterprise of justification being falsely presented under the alibi of artistic expression,” Goldman added in his letter, which was co-signed by Patrick Klugman, Elie Korchia and Jacques Gauthier-Gaujoux.

 The Algerian playwright Mohamed Kacimi defended his work as “anything but a justification or rehabilitation of Merah,” but rather as “an interrogation about a monster created by society.”

Germany: Israel does not allow parades celebrating the murder of German citizens, but Germany allows parades celebrating the murder of Jews

Lapid has sent a hard-hitting letter to Berlin Mayor Michael Müller for permitting Hezbollah to march in the German capital over the weekend. 

In the letter, which was sent Saturday, a day after the rally, and obtained by The Jerusalem Post, Lapid wrote: “This past week a lecture by a Knesset member from Yesh Atid [Aliza Lavie] was violently disrupted by radical anti-Israel activists at a university in Berlin. A few days later, demonstrators marched through your city proudly displaying photographs of the leader of an antisemitic terrorist organization. 

“As the son of a Holocaust survivor, I was deeply disturbed that in the same week that a group of Jews are targeted, antisemites are given the freedom of the city. We have stood in solidarity with Germany when you were hit by brutal terror attacks. We did that because we identified deeply with the pain caused by terrorism and we wanted to express our support for the people of you city.” 

Activists from the BDS campaign verbally attacked Lavie and Deborah Weinstein, an 82-year-old Holocaust survivor at Humboldt University in Berlin.  

A spokesman did not respond to a Post query as to whether the activists, who have been identified, have been banned from the university. 

Lapid, whose father, Yosef “Tommy” Lapid, survived the Hitler movement in Hungary, took aim at the mayor’s apparent reluctance to crackdown on Islamic terrorism in the capital. (...)

Lapid, who serves on the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, continued: 

“Freedom of expression doesn’t extend to the glorification of murder. Freedom of expression doesn’t extend to incitement. Hezbollah is no different to ISIS or al-Qaida in their attitude towards us. 

They hate Jews and they hate Christians, they hate women and they hate the LGBT community, they hate us and they hate you. Someone who is willing to carry the image of the leader of Hezbollah on the streets of Berlin is someone who is willing to murder on the streets of Berlin. 

The people who marched in your city on ‘Al Quds Day’ aren’t just our enemies, they are yours. 

“Mr. Mayor, your decision to remain silent in the face of this incitement and hatred is a grave mistake. Allowing the glorification of terrorism in your city won’t appease extremists, it will embolden them.” 

He ended his letter, asking Müller: “We would never allow a parade celebrating the murder of your citizens, why do you allow a parade celebrating the murder of ours?” 

According to Berlin’s intelligence agency, there are 250 active Hezbollah members and supporters in Berlin ad some 950 Hezbollah operatives in Germany.

Europe: Manchester bombing highlights UN and Europe hypocrisy on terror

As thousands of teens and young adults enjoyed an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester Arena, Salman Abedi, a 23-year-old detonated a bomb he had strapped to his body. That he packed the bomb with nails made his goal clear: He not only wanted to kill as many innocents as possible, but maim many times more. 

The Manchester attack is terrorism, plain and simple. There is no justification nor would any self-respecting politician nor diplomat even attempt to offer one. 

But what if someone detonated a nail-packed bomb amidst a crowd of children and other civilians and both the human rights community and European diplomats said it was justified? 

That's exactly what happened 15 years ago when the United Nations Human Rights Commission, operating under the leadership of former Irish President Mary Robinson, did just that against the context of a wave of suicide bombings in Israel. 

In an April 15, 2002 vote, 40 countries — including Austria, Belgium, France, Portugal, Spain and Sweden — argued that Palestinians could engage "all available means, including armed struggle" to establish a Palestinian state. That U.N. Human Rights Commission resolution enshrined the right to conduct suicide bombing in international humanitarian law. After all, many academics, diplomats, and human rights activists argue that the U.N. and its human rights wings set the precedent that becomes the foundation for international humanitarian and human rights law. 

When the Human Rights Commission voted, Israel was weathering a months-long suicide bombing campaign that, at its height, saw multiple bombings of buses, cafes and other public buildings every week. Many European diplomats might have been frustrated with Israel's counter-terrorism policies and unwillingness to accept the European view of the peace process, but to channel that frustration into a resolution that legitimized deliberate targeting and murder of civilians created a precedent which went far beyond the politics of the day.

UK: Manchester bomber cousin's antisemitic tweets: “If only Hitler was still alive these Jews would be burnt in chambers.”

A cousin of Manchester bomber Salman Abedi had previously posted antisemitic messages on social media and voiced his hatred for the UK. 

Abderahman Forjani, 21, was arrested last Tuesday along with his brother Abdalla,24, following the Manchester Arena atrocity on Monday night. 

But in a series of posts revealed by The Times the younger of the two brothers had earlier shown his feeling towards Jews writing: “If only Hitler was still alive –these Jews would be burnt in chambers.” 

Mr Forjani, who lives at the family home in Fallowfield, had also expressed his hatred towards his home city writing:”Manchester is my no.1 enemy I f***ing hate the s***hole.”

Germany: Nazi memorabilia at army base escalate far-right scandal

German investigators have found Nazi-era military memorabilia in a barracks, similar to that found in the garrison of an army officer arrested on suspicion of planning a racially motivated attack, the Defence Ministry said.

The discovery broadens a scandal about right-wing extremism in the German army that has hurt Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen, a close ally of Chancellor Angela Merkel, less than five months from a national election.

Spiegel Online reported that a display cabinet containing Nazi-era Wehrmacht helmets stood outside the canteen at the Fuerstenberg barracks in Donaueschingen, in southwest Germany.

In addition, pictures of soldiers from the Wehrmacht -- the Nazi regime's army -- hung on the wall of a room in the barracks, where Wehrmacht pistols, more helmets and military decorations were on display.

Investigators found a similar room at a barracks in the French town of Illkirch, where the officer arrested last week on suspicion of planning a racially motivated attack was serving in the German-French Brigade.

A Defence Ministry spokesman told Reuters the objects found at the barracks in Donaueschingen did not include Nazi items punishable under German law such as swastikas. Possession of regular Wehrmacht items is not an offence.
