Germany: Bavaria, Thuringia, Schleswig-Holstein and Baden-Württemberg top antisemitic states
Via Süddeutsche Zeitung:
The University of Leipzig conducted a survey tracking xenophobia and anti-Semitism in German society.
On the left, percentage of xenophobic attitudes, on the right, percentage of antisemitic attitudes.
For the purposes of this survey, 'antisemitic' means you agree with the following three statements:
1. Even today, Jews have too much influence
2. The Jews, more than other people, use dirty tricks to get what they want
3. The Jews are a peculiar group and don't quite fit us
Belgium: Respectable columnist calls to kill all Jews in Israel
Update: The screenshot is from 2009. Abou Jahjah says it's fabricated (he's lying). He also tweeted: "Nevertheless, I AM indeed anti-Zionist, anti-racist, and YES I support resistance against Israeli occupation of Palestine. #FreePalestine"
Dyab Abou Jahjah founded the Arab European League, and led riots against Jewish neighborhoods. He also claimed the Mossad was after him, and threatened that this will lead to importing the Middle-East conflict to Belgium (ie, to Muslims killing Jews).
He later joined the Hezbollah in order to kill Israelis. Today he's a noted Belgian columnist for De Standaard and a respected politician.
In a recent post on Facebook, he opined that all Jews in Israel should be killed off.
Abou Jahjah is not Palestinian. When he says "our land", he means "Muslim" or "Arab".
"la valise ou le cercueil" (the suitcase or the coffin) was the phrase used against the French colonialists in Algeria. And against the local Jews, who were forced to flee the country where they have lived for hundreds of years, because the local Muslims saw them as 'invading foreigners'.
This isn't the first time Abou Jahjah expresses such opinions. But in Belgium, it's quite acceptable to say you want to killJews Zionists and Israelis. They like Jew-killers so much over there, you'll even get your very own weekly column!

"If you are on Palestinian ground you are an invader and the resistance should deal with you. And Palestinian ground is the whole of historical Palestine. And spare me the lamentation about being a refugee cos once again I couldn't care less. I have only one phrase to all the Zionist invaders in Palestine: la valise ou le cercueil."

France: Paris kosher shop killer planned to strike Jewish school
The Islamist who killed four Jews at a kosher supermarket near Paris may have attempted to murder children at a Jewish school shortly before, the French media reported.
The report Tuesday on BFMTV was based on an interview with a woman who witnessed Amedy Coulibaly cause a traffic accident and then kill a police officer south of Paris after the officer approached the scene of the accident in Montrouge, south of Paris. Coulibaly fled the scene.
One day later, on Jan. 9, Coulibaly killed his Jewish victims at the Hyper Cacher market on the eastern edge of Paris. He was killed by police hours after a siege at the market.
“Police told me that this man was armed and following a plan,” said the witness, who was also involved in the accident and was only identified as Anne. “That he had a Jewish school right next to where I had my accident and that the accident messed up his plans, so instead of killing children at a Jewish school, he killed a police officer.” more

Bosnia: Arrest made in attack on Bosnian Jewish leader
JTA reports:
A man was arrested in connection with the attack on Bosnian Jewish leader Eli Tauber. Tauber, an adviser on culture and religious affairs for the Jewish Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was attacked by a man wielding a weighted chain at a cafe in central Sarajevo. Many witnessed the attack. The attack, which was widely reported in the Bosnian media, occurred on March 21 while journalists from National Geographic magazine were interviewing Tauber about the status of Jews in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
No motive has been determined, but the attack has received high-profile coverage by the local media. Some fear that Tauber, who recently established a foundation to promote Jewish culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina. was attacked because he is a prominent member of the Jewish community. “If he was attacked because he is Jewish and because as such he is present in our media, just because he is doing his job, then it would be a very bad sign both for Sarajevo and for Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Jakob Finci, president of the Jewish Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina, told dalje.com. Finci said it was the first such attack on a Jewish person in Sarajevo in 70 years.
Tauber said the attacker, identified as Ahmet Focak, intended to kill him. Focak was arrested two days after the attack.

Denmark: Online comments blame Israel's aggression on circumcision
A new Danish blog 'Antisemitisme watch' follows antisemitism online.
In a recent post, the blog reports on various antisemitic comments made in the context of the 'circumcision debate' - that is, the debate in Denmark as to whether circumcision should be banned. The comments are from Facebook, posted on the wall of Professor Morten Frisch, a Danish doctor who rejects circumcision, and on the wall of Jewish-Danish journalist Martin Krasnik.
Of 72 comments the blog had received, they posted 11. I'll bring just a few of those.
1. Commentator says that they should cut it off completely so they can't breed.
2. Commentator says circumcision is still permitted because left-wing politicians are beholden to the Muslim vote. And the Jewish lobby is powerful. The latter idea recurs in other comments.
3. Commentator says that circumcision leads to poorer sex-life, which leads to frustration and aggression. Just look at Israel
4. Commentator tells Krasnik that they're tired of his attitudes and that "we've got more than enough of Hitler, but it's scary that Israel and the Jewish state follow the same principles"
UK: 'Powerful Jewish lobby' accused of scheming to 'socially engineer and substantially grow the Jewish community'
Via Campaign Against Antisemitism UK:
Gay Butler of Bushey Residents Group writes in this week’s Watford Observer that a “Jewish lobby” has been running a “manipulative” campaign to build an eruv in the area. In a letter to the local paper, Butler says that “there is now a thirst in Bushey to redress the powerful Jewish lobby”.
Butler alleges that the aim of the eruv proposal is to “socially engineer and substantially grow the Jewish community, thereby identifying Bushey, like Golders Green, as a Jewish area.” more

Austria: Church quotes Hitler's praise for Catholic celibacy
Via Blutgruppe HC Negativ:
The newsletter of the church in St. Gallenkirch, Vorarlberg quoted Hitler's Mein Kampf, praising the doctrine of Catholic celibacy.
Hitler saw the church as a model for Nazism, as through celibacy the church was forced to draw its followers from the general population and not just from its own ranks.

Europe: EU rights conference to give equal billing to anti-Semitism, anti-Muslim hatred
Jerusalem Post (via Elder of Ziyon):
Jewish organizations worldwide expressed shock and dismay over the
weekend following the announcement that the EU’s Fundamental Rights
Agency is planning on holding a conference that implies an equivalence
between anti-Semitism and Islamophobia.
The first annual colloquium on fundamental rights in the EU, held by the racism watchdog organization and titled “Tolerance and respect: Preventing and combating anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim hatred in Europe,” is scheduled to be held in Brussels in early October.
It will focus on the rise of anti-Jewish sentiment and violence across the continent and the “growing evidence in many European countries, especially in the past two years, of very high rates of anti-Muslim incidents, including acts of verbal and physical violence,” according to the organizers.
Jewish community leaders in Europe and elsewhere told The Jerusalem Post that despite being largely supportive of the FRA’s work, they believed it inappropriate for it to juxtapose hate directed against Muslims with anti-Semitism as if both were one and the same.
“The challenge of combating anti-Semitism would be better served by a stand-alone colloquium fully focused on the problem,” said Eric Fusfield, the legislative affairs director of the B’nai B’rith International Center for Human Rights and Public Policy. [...]
According to Michael Whine, CST director of government and international affairs, many European countries seek to “equate anti-Semitism and anti-Muslim hatred in the same breath and they are not the same. Muslims are suffering in Europe, and that is being monitored, but it’s certainly not coming from the Jews, whereas many of the attacks against Jews are coming from the Muslims.”
“The growing problem of anti-Semitism in Europe comes from Muslims and the Left and anti-Israel agitators,” he added. More.

France: Toulouse mayor strips anti-Israel event of venue

| Toulouse victims of Mohamed Merah * |
The city of Toulouse banned an event organized by far-left activists promoting a boycott of Israel. The canceled event was a lecture by Farid Esack, a South African university lecturer and activist, titled “Apartheid, from South Africa to Israel.” He was scheduled to speak at a municipal event hall on March 31 at an event organized by the New Anticapitalist Party, a movement established in 2009.
“In light of the context, I can not permit a public
gathering that risks encouraging discrimination of Jewish people and
commercial products associated with the Jewish faith and the State of
Israel,” Toulouse Mayor Jean-Luc Moudenc said in a statement on March
31.
In 2012, an Islamist killed four Jews at a Jewish school in the city. More.
* Wikipedia: Inside [the Ozar Hatorah school in Toulouse], Mohamed Merah shot at staff, parents, and students. He chased an 8-year-old girl into the courtyard, caught her by her hair and raised a gun to shoot her. The gun jammed at this point and he changed weapons from what the police identified as a 9mm pistol to a .45 calibre gun, and shot the girl in her temple at point-blank range. The gunman then retrieved his moped and drove off. Victims: Four people died: 30-year-old Rabbi Jonathan (Yonatan) Sandler; his two oldest (out of three) children Aryeh, aged 6, and Gabriel, aged 3; and the head teacher's daughter, eight-year-old Miriam Monsonego, the girl shot in the head. Bryan Bijaoui, a 17-year-old Jewish boy, was gravely injured. [...] They were buried by family members at the Har HaMenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem. The two deceased children of Sandler were dual French-Israeli citizens, as are Sandler's widow and surviving child.

UK: Guardian blames right-wing, Muslims for European antisemitism
The Guardian speaks with various European Jews about their experiences in an article headlined "A new exodus? The reality of being Jewish in Europe today".
The Guardian's leading foreign-affairs commentator, Natalie Nougayrède, starts off with an intro:
These are gruelling times for those in Europe who identify themselves as Jewish or have a Jewish background. For many, it is a time of fear and distress. Antisemitism is on the rise, fed by trends that threaten the fabric of European consciousness and values. Extreme right-wing movements are thriving – and they often carry elements of age-old European antisemitism. Europe has also been hit by the sectarianism and fanaticism that seeps out of the Middle East. Violent jihadism has struck in Paris, Copenhagen, Brussels and Toulouse. Violent radicalised youths only represent a tiny minority of Muslims, but they are dangerous and their numbers are growing in Europe. Their ideology of hatred finds fertile ground in pauperised suburbs and the racism that populist parties promote when they stigmatise immigrants.
Let's review for a moment. According to the Guardian, antisemitism in Europe is caused by:
1. Extreme right-wing movements who carry elements of age-old European antisemitism
2. Jihadists
3. Radicalized Muslim youth - who, it should be noted, are being used by populist parties to promote racism.
Who are we missing? Well, the entire left-wing of the map, of course, and the media.
This is one of the main problems in dealing with antisemitism. Everybody wants to do something about it, but everybody blames somebody else. It is never 'my fault'. Never something 'I' have to deal with. It's always them. For the Guardian, 'them' is the right-wing and Muslims. The Guardian will continue spreading hatred against Jews, because they've convinced themselves that their type of antisemitism is okay.
