Joseph (Joe) Loughnane is a Pakistani-Irish student and one of the leaders of the BDS movement at National University of Ireland. He recently disrupted a meeting about the anti-Israel student proposal, shouting "we don't want your Israeli money" (clip here)
In 2008 he participated in a debate on Israel where he denied the Jewish connection to their homeland and argued that Jews control the media:
Our final speaker of the night was Joseph Loughnane. He said how Israel was created as a Western outpost in a region un-brainwashed by American interests. He told us how ultimately it was the Jews that stole the land, and so they are to blame. Joseph also said how the Jews run the American media and push their agenda, and that ultimately, the West uses and controls Israel as a tool for keeping the Middle East in line.
It is not coincidental that BDS activists believe in antisemitic conspiracy theories. If you deny Jews the right to their own homeland, than what is it exactly that they're doing in Israel? It must be a Western-American-colonial conspiracy.
