Mount of Olives Cemetery in Jerusalem is one of the most ancient Jewish burial grounds in the world, not far from the Temple Mount, but recently some Jews have not wanted to bury relatives there.
The security situation, Palestinian vandalism, and stone throwing along the routes leading to the mountain have contributed to the decline. Leaders from the "Chevra Kadisha" organization in Jerusalem met with President Reuven Rivlin, whose parents are both buried at the Mount of Olives, and requested his help to encourage the public to return to the mountain.
The supposed leader of Islamic State supporters in Israel told Channel 10 News on Wednesday he believed the group would one day rule Israel, and said Jews would only be allowed to remain under Islamic caliphate rule if they adhered to the Islamic way of life.
The man, identified only by the moniker “Abu Kassem,” said he believed IS could have a presence in Jerusalem “within eight years.”
“I don’t think Israel can do anything (about it),” he added. “This is bigger. Islamic State is big. Everyone wants to take part.”

Asked how Jews would be treated in his vision of an Islamic State-controlled Israel, Kassem said they would allowed to live here “but you will live like I want you to. You will live here as a Muslim. If you don’t oppose me there’s no problem.”
Rabbi Aryeh Heintz of Utrecht says that he himself is often cursed on the street, and even threatened. A swastika was drawn on his door. His son was once attacked because he wore a kippah.
Following the murders in Jerusalem enabled by the constant Palestinian incitement to kill Jews, this blog will wait until one European country will step forward and condemn the PA for its incitement.
It is not enough to ask the PA to stop inciting.
It is not enough to condemn the terror attacks caused by such incitement. European leaders must make it clear to the PA that incitement to kill Jews is unacceptable. That such incitement will mean no support for Palestinian aspirations for statehood. Until then, European leaders are encouraging Palestinians to kill Jews.
Mads Gilbert, antisemitic doctor from Norway, was named "Person of the Year" by the media site VG.
More than 28,000 people voted for Gilbert.
Gilber won 50,000 kroner, to donate to a charity of his choice.
His choice? The American organization "Students for Justice in Palestine"
Gilbert explains: The US is a 'game changer' in changing the situation in occupied Palestine. This organization works extremely well and they've doubled their membership the last year. Half of the new members are young Jewish students who no longer believe in the occupation. They do an important job and I believe they should get the money."
Needless to say, "Students for Justice in Palestine" only speak against Jews. They don't really care if Hamas murders people in the streets or the Palestinian Authority intimidates journalists into silence.

The Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (CRIF) has described as "obscene" the proposal by the Fimalac Group to offer profits generated by Dieudonné's nationwide tour titled "The Impure Beast" to anti racist organizations.
CRIF argues that we are faced with a "financial issue". The issue is to stop he spread of hatemongering by Dieudonné which violates public morals.
Roger Cukierman, President of the CRIF, issued a statement declaring that it would be obscene if anti racist organizations were to receive funds generated by Dieudonné's tour who is a repeat offender convicted of incitement to racial hatred and whose place is not in entertainment halls subsidised by the government.
The anti-Semitic comedian asked on Friday for a meeting with Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve, the interministerial delegate to the fight against racism and anti-Semitism Gilles Clavreul and representatives of the Jewish community in order to reach an "agreement". Neither the authorities nor the CRIF have so far ruled on the answer to be given to Mr Dieudonné.
David Gosling, who was the principal of Edwardes College for four years until his return to Britain in 2010, believes that while individuals in the Pakistani army may wish for revenge after the Peshawar schoolchildren atrocity, the military may well now “soft-peddle their activities in Waziristan”. The Taliban, he says, “has always reacted to the army’s campaigns in Swat and Waziristan with bombs.

It may well be that the Taliban, knowing the dates of the American withdrawal in Afghanistan, now wishes to extend its power in Pakistan. More seriously, the greater the extension of Islamist rule in the Muslim Middle East – in Algeria and Libya, as well as in Syria, Iraq and Yemen, even in Lebanon – the more encouraged the Taliban becomes. As Sunni Muslims, they have often inflicted enormous carnage on their fellow Shia citizens in Pakistan – although without the headlines devoted to yesterday’s massacre.
“You must remember,” Gosling says, “how enraged people were with the Israeli attacks on Gaza this year. People in Pakistan were furious at the casualty toll – more than 2,000 people, many of them children.”
Needless to say, the phrase “massacre of the innocents” was not used about those children.
A child's bloodied shoe inside the shopping mall in the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon after a missile, fired by Palestinian militants inside the Gaza Strip, exploded on a mall on 14 May 2008 severely injuring several Israelis, including one child and a woman, and wounding dozens of other civilians.
After the Taliban attack on a Pakistani school, the picture started going around as if it's from Peshawar. BBC Trending even posted a notice about it, warning people it was the shoe of an Israeli child.
Dutch journalist Harald Doornbos apparently didn't see the warning because he tweeted that it's not from Peshawar but rather from Gaza.
And he even helpfully told us how he got to this conclusion. He did a Google image search on it, and Google suggested he was looking for "dead children of gaza", and offered him only pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel sites spreading the lie that this image was from Gaza.
When I do a search on the image on its own, Google suggests that I'm looking for "israel palestine peace" and links me to the Wikipedia article that explains where the image is from. And if I do the same search from Doornbos' results, I get "isis killing children", which links me to various anti-IS sites.
The thing is, Google builds a profile of it users. You like reading about cheesecake, it will direct you to cheesecake sites. You spend your time surfing anti-Israel sites? Guess what it will give you.
Doornbos lives in a bubble of his own making and he doesn't even realize it. He thinks that when he Googles, he searches the entire internet and really gets the story from all sides. But in reality, Google is just reflecting his own bias back at him.
And that's the sad side of this whole story.
In this video, Dieudonné's little son tells his father: "Dad, Father Christmas doesn't exist". Dieudonné, whose antisemitism makes many French- speakers in Europe laugh, replies with a question: "And gas chambers do they exist?"
Dieudonné has just formed a new "anti-Zionist party" with Alain Soral. They consider that Marine Le Pen's FN is much too soft on the Jewish lobby/Israel.

French comedian Dieudonne M’bala M’bala, who has multiple convictions for inciting racial hatred against Jews, wants to meet with representatives of France’s Jewish community.
In an open letter sent last week, lawyers for Dieudonne asked Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve and Gilles Clavreul, the French government’s interministerial delegate for the fight against anti-Semitism, to organize the meeting.
Such a meeting is necessary, the lawyers wrote, to “determine the terms of an accord which would allow both parties to respect the other.” The letter adds, “In this affair, there have been too many damages and injuries.”
CRIF, the umbrella group of French Jewish communities, has not issued a public reaction to the letter.
Many consider Dieudonne a symbol of France’s growing anti-Semitism problem because of his performances and creation of the quenelle, a Nazi-like salute that French Prime Minister Manuel Vals called a “gesture of hatred” and “an anti-Semitic gesture.”
Dieudonne is preparing to launch a nationwide tour on Dec. 27 of his show, “The Impure Beast,” which includes jokes about Ilan Halimi, a French Jew who was murdered in 2006.
In recent years he has been the subject of government searches, financial inspections, subpoenas and bans on his performances.
“We are able to resist all the attacks on our client,” the lawyers wrote in reference to the punitive measures. “But Dieudonne wants to move forward. Beyond respect for the rule of law, to peace.”
Every house built by Jews in the West Bank is reported and documented. But Arab terrorism? Why would anybody want to report and document that?!
A few years ago I met a Norwegian researcher who came to Israel to study Jewish settler attacks on Arabs. I asked her: why don't you also study Arab attacks on Jews? You're just looking at half the story.
Her response: As a researcher I rely on official UN studies. And they only focus on Jewish settler attacks.
The European Union General Court is saying that it has never independently confirmed that Hamas is a terrorist organization, and that it relied on external sources in making that determination against its own policies.
That’s fine, any organization must follow its written policies.
But this means that ever since the EU was founded in 1993, despite spending tens of thousands of man-hours and untold millions of euros on Middle East topics and on the ground in Israel and the territories, no effort has been made to document Arab terrorism.

Björn Söder, party secretary of the anti-immigration Sweden Democrats party and also deputy speaker of parliament, told newspaper Dagens Nyheter there were some groups in Swedish society who were citizens but belonged to other nations — namely Jews and Sami.
Asked if a person could not be Jewish and Swedish at the same time, Söder said “I think most people of Jewish origin that have become Swedes leave their Jewish identity.
“But if they do not do it, it doesn’t need to be a problem. One must distinguish between citizenship and nationhood. They can still be Swedish citizens and live in Sweden. Sami and Jews have lived in Sweden for a long time.
“We have an open Swedishness, an individual can become Swedish regardless of background,” he said. “But it requires that they be assimilated.”
British leaders just say they want to fight antisemitism. They don't really bother to do anything about it. And it's not as if any other Western country bothered. It's just Muslims being antisemitic. No reason to actually worry about it.
Last month, I reported that Jordan's parliament said a prayer for the murderers of the four Jewish worshipers slaughtered in Har Nof.
Given that the UK often publicly airs its impatience with Israeli actions, Edgar Davidson emailed to the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office asking them if they would condemn the disgusting, pro-terror display from the parliament of one of Britain's closest allies in the region.
You can follow the link if you want to see how the UK justified not condemning the parliament of a valued partner praising the murder of Jews.
On Tuesday the Taliban attacked a school in Peshawar, executing 132 children and 9 staff members.
Aftenposten's journalists Reidun J. Samuelsen and Tor Arne Andreassen put things in context for the Norwegian reader by discussing other child-murderers who cynically use children as part of their warfare strategy: Boko Haram, Syria and Israel.
"In Nigeria terrorists from Boko Haram attack schools and kidnap children. In Syria, around 11,000 children were killed during the civil war. In the last Gaza war, more than 450 Palestinian children were killed, more than the two previous Gaza wars together.
We see a trend where children are increasingly and cynically being used in warfare. Direct attacks against children creates fear among adults too, says Tove R. Wang, General Secretary of Redd Barna (Save the Children)."
Note that Israel is not directly mentioned. They might be talking about Hamas. Right?
