Italy: Holocaust memorial group drops from Liberation Day parade due to harassment

April 25 is Liberation Day in Italy, the celebration of the Allied victory over Fascists in Italy.

ANED - a Holocaust remembrance organization of people deported to Nazi camps - has announced they will not participate in this year's parade.  The rationale behind this is the discrimination against commemorating the Jewish Brigade. The Jewish Brigade was a group of soldiers from British Palestine who fought in Europe during World War II.
