Criticizing Jews using biblical terms is a sneaky way of saying "even your God says you shouldn't do it this way". It also implies that everything Israel does is judged by whether it holds by Jewish standards. I hate to break it to people, but Israel is a secular country the government does not consult rabbis before it decides whether to go to war or not.
The Daily Cartoon for July 9th in the Independent, by Dave Brown, accuses Jews of disproportionate use of power by accusing them of ignoring the Biblical precept of 'an eye for an eye'. It also accuses Israel of committing genocide (a people for a life).
As CIF Watch notes, Jews do not accept the literal interpretation of "an eye for an eye". Such democratic countries like Iran, on the other hand, take it literally.
