Norway: The well-meaning antisemites

Leif Knutsen writes in NRK about the 'well-meaning antisemites'.  People who think that if they don't intend to hurt Jews, then they can't possibly be hurting them.

And so, Jews in Norway are being told they should accept 'more beautiful' customs for their children, what they should think of Israel, why they're cruel to animals, and how they should understand their own history and religion.  Jewish customs are 'superstitious' and 'archaic'.  Those accusations come from people who don't bother to actually check the facts.

When it comes to Jewish matters, Jews are disqualified as doctors, journalists and politicians.

Not because somebody wants to hurt Jews, but because Jews need enlightenment, modernization and guidance.  And so Norwegians think that it's not 'antisemitism'.
