Germany: 192 antisemitic crimes recorded in Berlin in 2014

The Berlin police recorded 192 antisemitic crimes this past year. Police solved 33% of the crimes, an increase over the 24% of cases solved in 2013. Right-wingers were responsible for 90% of the crimes.
Most attacks were in the Mitte district. In all attacks the perpetrators were aware their targets were Jewish.
Crimes included: swastikas, stolen stumbling stones (Holocaust memorials), and antisemitic bullying, online chats and tweets.
In the 'attacking Israelis' department - In April, the operator of an Israeli cosmetic stand was insulted and beaten up. The site of 'Haolam', a German-Israeli magazine, was hacked multiple times.
On Al-Quds Day, introduced by Iranian leader Khomeinin to incite hatred against Israel, a group of demonstrators made the Nazi salute at counter-demonstrators holding the Israeli flag.
